Sp11 is having it’s first contest and here are my answers.
1. What is the one knitting accessory you could not live without? I’d have to say my row counter. I certainly would be lost without it.
2. If you’re heading on vacation, do you take knitting with you? yes I would if I ever went on vacation but just don’t see that happening anytime soon. If
so, how much and what type of project? it would have to be whatever sock I was working on at the time.
3. Where have you travelled to that you’d consider your favorite spot? Haven’t travelled anywhere since I was 17 now I’m in my 30’s so I can’t really answer this question.
4. What is your favorite knitting book at the moment? Do you own it? Right now it is Last Minute Knitted Gifts and no I do not own it. I just keep borrowing it from the library.
5. Do you listen to podcasts? Which is your favorite(s)? No I do not and can not since this backup pc has lost the sound.

I know my blog has been a little boring lately and I apologize. I’ve been super busy as of late. Mr Knowledge(#2 son) started footbal practice last week and so we are there 5 out of 7 days.
The A/C decided to take a dive this morning and it can not be fixed. And a new one is not in the budget right now. Grandma lent me a fan for the time being. It’s not the same as the AC but it helps some in this opressive heat.
I don’t have any new pictures to show right now just haven’t had time to take any. I’ve been working day shift to cover vacations this week. so I leave home at 8 am and do not return til 8pm.
Still no word from the bank but of course you all know they move at their own pace. SNAILS PACE THAT IS.
Dish Rag Tag started last wednesday. As team cap’n I recieved the box first. It arrived saturday. I knitted my dish cloth furiously on Sunday so I could send it out Monday morning. But I forgot to take a picture of my finished cloth.
Mr Teenager(#1 son) turns 15 Thursday. He is bugging me to go to the mall so he can spend B-day money. I really don’t wanna, I don’t enjoy self punishment. I work retail and deal with enough people as it is then to have to go shopping on my day off, UGH,but seeing how I love my boy I’ll be a good mama and take him.
Hopefully I’ll find time to do a better post on my days off til then Take Care and Happy knitting.
My package from the DDS Swap arrived on Tuesday but I just didn’t have time to post it til now.
My swap partner was Jennifer. She sent me a wonderful package. The dishcloth she sent were her very first ones. I am honored to be the receipient of such lovely dishcloths and two matching coasters and in nice bright colors too. She sent me two skeins of Tahki Cotton Classic 100% mercerised cotton. Also she included the patterns for them so I can make more if I want. And she is a girl after my own heart in my package was English breakfast tea, which I have already sampled and Hershey’s chocolate sticks, sampled of course. Then I got the cute little birdie pen, a jar which I will be putting candle in and using on my patio, some cute charms which I think I will make into magnets for the fridge, a handy post it note pad , some yummy smelling soap and lotion which is aldreay in my purse. But the bestet and favoritest thing she sent me was these wonderful stitch markers. My very own set of Buffalo Sticth markers that is. I LOVE them. Thank you Jennifer for a great package!!!
Not much knitting going on lately but I am doing lots of sewing will share it later but for now I leave you with this.
Friendship Prayer: “May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch…Amen.”
I saw this on one of my forums. I thought it was funny and just had to share it with you.
I am sorry if it offends anyone it certainly was not my intention to do so.
A camping we wil go, Hi Ho The Dairy OH, A camping we will go.
My family and I have decided to give camping a try this summer. It will be our first time. We are going to use a tent. So this will be an interesting experience. We’ve never been confined in such a small space together for 2 days. We may just be ready to kill each other by the time it is all over.
Salt Fork State Park is our destination. The park has alot to offer so I’m sure everyone will find something to do.
Little P is looking forward to going swimming. He is like a FISH when it comes to water.I’m sure he wont want to leave the beach area at all this weekend.
Arty(Dh will kill me if he knows I called him that-LOL) plans to go fishing. Of course I’m sure that the whale(wink wink) he hooks will put up a huge fight.:p
Big B -well who knows what he wants to do. He’s a teenager and I don’t think he himself has any idea what he wants to do.
Our camp site has electric but what good will that do me if I’m in a tent.Which I have never before slept in.I wish I had an air mattress but alas I do not. My poor back will suffer for sure.
We’ve got so much to do to get ready for the trip.I don’t know what foods to take or what cloths- well swim suits I know are a must. Then we’ve got to pack the sunsreen the bug repellent and oh so much more.
Well wish me luck and I’ll be sure to take lots of pics so everyone can see our experience.
I’m gonna do a little whinning so if ya don’t want to hear ya don’t need to read any farther.
I ‘ve been doing lots of blog reading lately and seeing all this yummy sock yarn and boy am I envoius. My sock yarn stash consists of four whole skeins. Yep you read it right only four. Of course it would help if I had a yarn store near by but No it is not to be. I really can’t order online either cause I don’t have any credit cards, Thanks to DH but thats a whole other story we wont get into. Hee Hee.
I see Emily has this Yummy Chocolate Covered Kisses Yarn and then I visted Monica and wow what stash of sock yarn she has.Next I decided to visit with Karen and even she has wonderful sock yarn and is knitting some great socks for her sock pal. Finally I ended my visit with Abigail who always has socks on the needles.
I think I must be the only one who has not knitted socks and has very little sock yarn.I so love looking at all the socks everyone is knitting though. So I guess I’ll just had to keep reading and drooling over everyone elses sock yarns unless some one wants to take pity on this poor yarnless sole and send me their leftovers .LOL
Hope you have a nice day and enjoy your knitting.

Ok I’m ready for my close up. LOL actually is not a great pic but I had to take it while I could before the little bugger flew away. Ya can’t tell but it’s a small woodpecker. This morning I decided to just enjoy the outdoors and I just happen to have my cam with me. While watching the woodpecker I also saw a female cardnial, and Nuthatch. I love to sit outside and listen to the music of nature.
Well this is my first post using wordpress. I am not sure how I will like it but I will reserve judgement til after I have posted a few more pages. But I will begin by telling a little about me.
I’m a Big Tea Junkie and am always buying new flavors. My favorite right now is a Rooibos by Tetley called vanilla & pear. It has a very nice fruity flavor. And it’s Caffine free so I can drink a couple of cups and not worry about it making me jittery. The next thing I like to do is grab a good book and find a cozy corner and hide away from the world for awhile by taking a journey of words.
