Well it’s offical. We are going to a ball. For our 15 year anniversary I decided I want to do something different and when I saw that there was going to be a Victorian Ball in a nearby town I knew that was waht I wanted to do. Wayne is not real crazy on the idea because we must dress in peroid costumes. I have my dress fabric all picked out and have given it to the dress maker. I will be having a Civil War era gown made and I know my dress with be fabulous because my friend Greg is making it and he does costumes for the Miss Ohio, Miss America and Mrs America pagents. I still need to find shoes though. I also have to get fabric for Wayne’s costume. I’m going to let Greg do all that for me since I know nothing about making clothing. Told Wayne today that he has to wear gloves and he was less than thrilled to hear that but I told him that it was not an option. He is doing it because he loves me and I’ve put up with him for 15 years it is the least he can do. I really do love that man but sometimes he drives me crazy. LOL.
I am a little excited yet nervous also since it is the first time we have done something like this. We don’t know any of the dance steps so Greg said he and his wife could teach us. They used to go to Balls and Civil War reenactments. I will be making my own jewelry to go with my gown.The colors are copper and black. It is a beautiful combonation. I can’t wait to show you all what it looks like. I’ve got so much to do and such a short time to do it in.
