Seems I’m resolved to one post a week right now until the holiday season is over. I have so much stuff to do and make that I find myself with very little computer time.
I’ve spent the last week working on baby items for a baby shower I have on Saturday. Do you think she will like the loot I’ve made? There’s a diaper bag, washcloth, 2 burp pads, a bib and the baby quilt.
Next up is some ornaments I’ve been making. Three are finished. two are still in progress but I thought I’d share anyway.
They are so fun and easy to do. I saw them in my Country Woman magazine. The one’s in the magazine were made by a company called Dough Delights. They make theirs from salt dough but I decided to go with Kold Porcelain. A homemade recipe. The hardest part of making these ornies is waiting for them to dry.
Then I’ve also been working on my sock for the Harvest sock swap which I wont show incase my partner would happen to stumble upon my blog. It’s been very slow going but I am nearing the end of it. I have never had a sock take me so long to knit, a single sock mind you. I seem to overloaded myself with projects but I think I thrive on the pressure because it never seems to stress me out and I manage to get it all done.
It has been so long I have read anyones blog and I am sorry. I hope to be able to get back to reading once Thanksgiving is over. I miss sharing my day with all of you. I know I have missed so much and ask your forgiveness in not commenting like I used to. Of course I’m not even sure anyone is still reading my blog either since I’ve been away so long.
Well I have to go do some cooking. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.
happy happy thanksgiving Jen, I check in every single day, so someone is still watching for you!!! the baby items are adorable and the ornies are so cute!!! Have a good day!!!
I know how you feel … I’ve been in a time-crunch mode myself. Just stopping by now trying to catch up on my reading
and that’s in between all the knitting.
BTW, once a week is good. So “blog without obligation” — that’s what I do. http://www.tartx.com/blog/?page_id=233
And Happy Knitting!!
That’s some pretty cute baby stuff. I just finished my first baby hat. I’ll post it tonight in case you want to go see it, lol. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Those are very nice baby things. Lucky baby ! I’m sure the gifts will go over very well . It’s great to be so handy with a sewing machine.
Hi Jen,
This is your Harvest Sock Swap Pal. I seem to have lost your address, and I have your package ready to send to you. Please can you respond to my Ravelry message with your postal address so that I can mail it? Thanks so much.
